Sample autónomo calculator result showing business economics and RETA estimate

Frequently asked questions

Is this different from the IRPF calculator?

It's the same underlying engine, ordered differently — this one starts with your business (revenue, expenses, RETA) before other income, since that's usually what autónomos care about most. It also surfaces things the plain IRPF path doesn't lead with: your Social Security (RETA) cost, an estimate of your Modelo 130 quarterly payments, and how much your self-employment activity is adding to your overall IRPF bill.

What do I get at the end?

A breakdown of your business economics (revenue, expenses, net profit after Social Security), an estimate of your RETA contribution, and an estimate of the extra IRPF your self-employment income adds on top of your other income — shown as a separate, clearly-labeled figure, not folded into one number.

Do I need an account?

No. You answer a short series of questions and get your estimate instantly, with the option to save it with a link. No password, no full signup.

Is this a real filing calculation?

No — it's a planning and orientation tool, not a Modelo 130 or Modelo 100 filing calculation. It's most useful for understanding the shape of your business tax situation and preparing for a conversation with your gestor.

What if I'm married — does it account for my spouse's income?

Yes, for your spouse's other income (salary, pensions, investments, and similar) — the calculator compares filing individually versus jointly and recommends whichever is lower. One current limitation: your spouse's own self-employment activity (if they have any) can't be modeled in this calculator yet — only your own business income runs through the RETA and Modelo 130 estimates.

What if I'm on the Beckham Law or live in País Vasco or Navarra?

The calculator detects these situations and tells you when the standard estimate doesn't apply, rather than showing a number based on the wrong tax system.

How accurate is the estimate?

It's a planning estimate, not a precise filing calculation — useful for understanding your business's tax shape and what to bring to a professional, not for filing directly.
